April

April has come is almost gone! Time goes by so fast….sometimes too fast! This week in particular has been an emotional one for me. On Monday we laid to rest my Grandpa Mills he was an amazing man who loved his children, grandchildren, and his country. On Friday my parents flew down to the Valley we met them up at the airport and while we were there we got to go on the plane that my Grandfather flew in World War 2 (a B24). I have to say this was one of the most changing experiences of my life! I can’t even image flying in one of those let alone being a nose gunner of one! This was the last known B24 and B17 that fly in existence today! One of the pilots was talking to my Dad and let him go up into the nose gunner area where my grandpa was, my mom and I just cried, he was the only person allowed in that part of the plane! Tears of love and respect fell as I saw my dad trying to squeeze into the nose of the plane! I felt like my grandpa was watching and I seem to think I was watching from somewhere as he flew into combat those over 30 times in the south pacific. It is a miracle after seeing that plane, he made it home safe….I hope I can make him proud when I see him again!! Here are some of the pictures of us on his plane! And a few others some of the other things we have been up too!

Looking towards the back

He had to walk down a 5 inch walk way with really nothing to hold on too and had to turn his shoulder in two spots to the side to fit...if the bomb bay doors were open witch they usually were it was like cat walking down this 6 to 10 foot space with the earth below him open! One trip or bump and you are falling to the earth...then he had to crawl down this little space to get to the nose. His stories are amazing!

Easter with the Boys at my Parents house!
I used my cake at another wedding!

We went to the Gilbert Fire Department for Jetts field trip! We had fun!

Kannon is busy!

One night we went with the Abbotts and the Ballards out to a wash and built a fire and made smores my boys were so dirty....But they had a blast!

Almost every night for the past two weeks we have been getting pizza and have been eating in the car on our way out to Queen Creek to see our horses we have them both down here! Did I mention that we bought another horse?? Lobo is his name! I will post some pictures of him soon! Jeremy has been learning to Rope....yeah Jeremy he is actually pretty good! It has been a fun adventure!

We finally did it! We bought Jett some spurs Ah that kid wears them all over the place! I love it!
